When I was a little girl, I always wanted to leave Santa a big mug of hot chocolate with his cookies, but I was never allowed because it would be cold by the time he got it! This hot chocolate would have definitely warmed him up, and probably put my on the naughty list!

We’ve actually had snow over in Vancouver, could this be the first ever white Christmas? I doubt it – the forecast calls for rain rain and more rain of course!  Regardless of the rain or snow, it’s cold!! What better way to warm you up than with a boozy hot chocolate.


Naughty Hot Chocolate1

(Serves 2):
2 ounces semisweet chocolate, chopped into small pieces
2 tablespoon unsweetened cocoa powder
2 cup milk
2 tablespoon sugar, or more to taste
Pinch of salt
2 ounces creme de cacao
2 ounces Vodka


1. In a small saucepan, melt the chocolate, cocoa powder and 1/2 of the milk over low heat. Stir continuously until the chocolate is completely melted.

2. Add the rest of the milk, the sugar and the salt. Stir, then allow to gently heat the rest of the way through. Stir in the creme de cocao and vodka, then remove the pan from the heat. Pour into 2 mugs and top with marshmallows.
